Valuing Financial Planning

One of the most rewarding things about my job is helping people achieve their financial goals.  The relief and peace of mind we can give clients that, “yes, you are prepared to retire, and here’s why,” is invaluable.  But more important than the “why” is the “how.”  We can project how they can fund their vacation home or what long-term care might cost.  We can show clients how they will fund their retirement from various income sources and investments to help them live out their retirement dreams.

As clients move closer to that retirement “red-zone,” the thought of pulling the trigger on a retirement date is frightening for many.  Knowing you’ll never receive another paycheck from your employer can cause second thoughts and panic attacks.  Wouldn’t it be nice to know if you are on track to reach those goals?  That’s the purpose of financial planning:  to set those goals, gather the financial information, analyze where you are, and plan how to get there.

At Hovis & Associates, we use financial planning software to develop financial plans for clients to answer many questions.  How much will it cost for my kids’ college education?  How much life insurance do I need?  How much should I invest to reach $1 million by age 60?  How much money will I need in retirement?  The earlier a client starts planning, the more time available for them to work toward their goals.  It may take discipline, focus, and budgeting, but you’ll never know if those goals are even attainable if you don’t take that first step.

How much is that peace of mind worth to you?  We are here to help answer your pressing questions.  Call us to schedule a preliminary planning meeting.
